About

How do you define Armenian embroidery? The answer is: with great difficulty. Armenians have a long textile tradition, dating back centuries and maybe even millennia.

From Marash to Van, each region of historic Armenia had its own unique style, which is still practised and cherished today. This precious needlework was and continues to be adorned on everything from taraz to religious vestments.

Through Armenian Embroidery, we aim to promote and educate on the history of Armenian embroidery, while also bringing it into the future.
